History

Built on a philosophy of diversity, dedication, passion and excellence in complementary therapies education, Nature Care College was established in 1973.

Aptly named by founder and Australian Traditional Medicine Society Life Member Catherine McEwan, the college's name comes from the term 'Nature Cure', which was used throughout Europe in the 18th century to describe Naturopathy. The attentive and nourishing concept of 'Care' replaced 'Cure' and Nature Care College was born!

Perhaps the most amazing aspect of Nature Care College is not just the dedication to quality education but also the ability to maintain its core principles, ethics, and purpose for over a 50-year history.

Building on the past, Nature Care College has maintained its connection with its roots and continues to flourish and foster a unique sense of community, attracting people with the common goal of living their passions and doing something for themselves to benefit others and make a difference.

It is this unique sense of community that has seen thousands of students and our dedicated trainers and staff call Nature Care College home since 1973. This collective passion and commitment to the profession makes Nature Care College a very special place to learn.
