Professional Certificate in Meditation Facilitation

The Professional Certificate of Meditation Facilitation qualification sees students graduate with the skills, techniques and personal practice to confidently teach Meditation groups and sessions.

As a Meditation Facilitator you will support participants with a range of meditation techniques, relaxation and visualisation methods, leading others to a deeper sense of relaxation, peace, acceptance and awareness and increasing physical and emotional health and well-being on a holistic level.

Studies include the exploration of various meditation techniques and the development of your own practices, the application of techniques in a clinical and professional setting, group facilitation and the practical aspects of running meditation classes.

With a wide range of flexible study options and alternate payment plans, the Professional Certificate of Meditation Facilitation offers the perfect pathway for those wishing to pursue a rewarding career as a Meditation Facilitator, in a caring and supportive environment.

Recognition of Course

The Australian Teachers of Meditation Association (ATMA) was established nationally representing meditation teachers from various traditions, styles, modalities and groups.

Nature Care College courses are not nationally recognised qualifications under the Australian Qualification Framework, do not lead to the issuance of AQF certification documentation and Nature Care College is not registered by ASQA to deliver the course.

The Meditation Facilitators Qualification was developed in-house by two leaders in the field. Note:  There continues to be lack of AQF Qualifications in the area of Meditation Group Teaching.

UNITS OF STUDY

Communicate With Clients

Description: This unit of study covers the skills required by practitioners to establish and maintain effective communication with clients throughout all interactions and provide basic counselling as required and as appropriate to facilitate the treatment or health service being provided. The skills apply to work in a range of health settings where health services are provided with direct client contact involved.

Self Directed Learning: Components of this unit require self directed study where students will perform research and or set tasks followed by reviews promoting learning, engagement, debate and group discussion.

Meditation 1

Description:  You will be introduced to some of the many forms of meditation available and gain some experience of each, both in class and between sessions, eventually developing an ongoing personal practice with the technique(s) of your choice.  You will also develop an understanding of the theory and purpose underlying all meditation traditions, as well as the benefits of meditation as an integral part of life.

Assessment (indicative only): This unit of study is assessed on their commitment to regular meditation practice, their openness to the process of personal growth, and their contribution to group discussions.  A written reflection of personal learning and growth experience arising is also required.

Meditation 2

Description:  While continuing to develop and deepen your personal meditation practice, in this module you will focus on the application of meditation techniques in a clinic or other professional context, both with individuals and with groups. You will gain an understanding of how to select from a range of appropriate meditation techniques for individual clients and the needs of a group, as well as applying the practice of meditation for therapeutic and healing work.

Assessment (indicative only): This unit of study is assessed via student presentation, class participation and meditation practice, and written assessment.

Pre-requisites: Meditation 1 

Co-requisites: Nil

 


Meditation 3 - Advanced Meditation & Facilitator Skills

Description:  Meditation 3 consists of two weekend intensives.
The first weekend is dedicated to expanding and consolidating your
meditation practice. We will create a sacred space of silence in order to deepen our inner connection. The weekend will also include periods of debriefing and discussion. The second weekend covers the practical aspects of running meditation classes engaging clients in the practice of Meditation. It includes student presentations and continuing meditation practice.

Assessment (indicative only): This unit of study is assessed via class participation and meditation practice and written assessment.

Pre-requisites: Meditation 1 & 2; Communicate With Clients OR Client Communication for Energetic Healing.

Co-requisites: Nil

 




Course tuition fees for each term will depend on the number of units of study in which you enrol into. You enrol and pay on a term by term basis.
