Massage for Chronic Conditions

Massage for Chronic Conditions is designed to expand your skills and knowledge as a Massage Therapist to be able to effectively identify and treat a range of chronic conditions as seen in massage practice.

You will learn how to best care for clients with chronic conditions and discuss what services can be provided, and how to modify treatment techniques, relevant to each condition.

These skills will be underpinned with the knowledge that you will gain as you discuss and learn to identify the most common chronic conditions that present in clinical practice.

Reviewing the physical and/or psychological impact that chronic disease and conditions can have on the client, their family and their lifestyle, you will combine this knowledge with the skills and knowledge above and learn how to develop an effective treatment plan in relation to the client's physical, mental and emotional condition.

You will also gain the skills to assess and evaluate the benefits and impact of ongoing treatment for your client.

Massage Therapists can use this short-course for Continuing Professional Development/Continuing Professional Education.
